PM Modi had opposed the said attack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had strongly condemned this attack on the Hindu temple in Canada. He had said that we expect action from the Canadian government. Such incidents cannot weaken us. PM Modi had written that I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. The cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats are equally condemnable. Such violent acts can never weaken India's resolve. We hope the Government of Canada will ensure justice and uphold the rule of law.

Canadian PM also condemned the incident

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had also condemned this. In which he said that the violence at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton cannot be accepted. Every Canadian has the right to practice his or her religion freely and safely. There is tension in the area after the incident. Police have been deployed in large numbers. India's allegation – PM Trudeau doing anti-India politics for vote bank

Relations between India and Canada have seen a decline for more than a year. It started after the murder of pro-Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June 2020. In September last year, PM Trudeau alleged in Parliament that the Indian agency was involved in Nijjar's murder.

After this, Trudeau had accused Indian diplomats of involvement in the October 13 Nijjar massacre last month. After this India recalled its 6 diplomats including Sanjay Verma.

India says that the Canadian government's allegations are baseless. Canada has not shared a single piece of evidence with the Indian government. They are making claims without facts. The Trudeau government is deliberately trying to defame India to gain political mileage.

India's Foreign Ministry had said in a press conference last month that PM Trudeau's enmity with India has been going on for a long time. His cabinet includes people who are openly associated with extremist organizations.
