Sensex fell by more than 200 points: Nifty also fell by 70 points, pharma shares fell the most.

Today, on the day of Chhoti Diwali, i.e. 29th October, the Sensex is trading at the level of 80100 with a fall of about 200 points. There is a fall of 70 points in Nifty, it is trading at the level of 24350.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 25 are declining and 5 are rising. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 36 are declining and 14 are rising. The biggest decline in the NSE sectoral index is in the Pharma index. They are down about 1.50%.

Mixed business in Asian market

In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei is up 1.25%. Whereas Korea's Kospi is trading with a decline of 0.70% and China's Shanghai Composite is trading with a decline of 0.14%. The IPO of Afcons Infrastructure Limited was subscribed 2.77 times on the last day of bidding. The company's shares will be listed on BSE-NSE on November 4. On October 29, America's Dow Jones closed at 42,233.05 after falling 0.36% and the S&P 500 closed at 5,832.92 with a rise of 0.16%. Nasdaq closed 0.78% higher at 18,712.75. According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹16,057.19 crore on October 29. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 12,823.77 crore.

Yesterday i.e. on Dhanteras (29 October), Sensex recovered 948 points from the day's low of 79,421. After the day's trading, it closed at 80,369 with a gain of 363 points. Nifty also recovered 326 points from the day's low of 24,140 and closed at 24,466 with a rise of 127 points.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 17 rose and 13 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 31 rose and 18 declined. There was no change in one share. Financial services shares of NSE had the biggest rise.

Afcons Infrastructure IPO subscribed 2.73 times on last day

Yesterday, October 29, was the last day to bid for the IPO of Afcons Infrastructure Limited, a company working in the transport, construction, oil and gas sector.

By 4 pm this Afcons Infrastructure Total was subscribed 2.73 times. The company's shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 4.
